In this brief overview the topic of chiropractic, dissection and stroke is reviewed. The focus is on what you need to know and what you need to do clinically to identify a suspected case and how to handle it.
This course begins with a discussion of the literature and evidence supporting the role of lifestyle change in reducing the risks of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, obesity and cancer. The course then reviews a health outcomes study of the Creating Wellness Program and the implications of the findings relative to the health care crisis.
In this course the student will prepare a written clinical case study. The selection of an appropriate clinical case, a thorough review of the elements of a case study report, how to review the appropriate literature for the reference section, and the systematic construction of the report will be covered in a combination lecture and self study format. It is expected that the paper will meet the technical requirements for consideration to publish in a peer reviewed research journal.
